ASTM B16 vs ASTM B150 — Which Applies?
ASTM B16 covers free-cutting brass rod and bar (C36000). ASTM B150 covers brass rod, bar and shapes for general use. For most machined brass fasteners the applicable material standard is ASTM B16/C36000. For forged brass fasteners ASTM B124 applies. We manufacture to all three and specify the applicable standard on the MTR.
